Promises Party Pack Card Game is not a game that I had high hopes for. Kids loves the magical story in Old Testament and now we could play it on a lark and have a good time. I have to admit we were shocked to find what was in this box.
I found an actual board game inside this box. And one we actually liked and had a lot of fun with. I should start out stating this is a very light game. You have crew cards that require certain equitments and you basically draw from the top of the deck hoping to get the correct cards. LIGHT. This isn't going to be for everyone. Yet, I find a need for light card games like this from time to time and the Promises works for us.
The art work is designed by AI with prompt written by students. Promises is inspiring.
The negative aspect of the game is going to be the lightness of the game. The passing interest in this game is going to be the Old Testament IP. When I played with kids who wanted to play two more times in a row which is rare for her! She never wants to play a game let alone twice in a row, but three times?

Overall, this is simple card game. That does not mean it is bad.
The opposite is actually true: this is a fun, light card game. This could be a great filler or a card game for lighter gamers. If the theme/Old Testament IP works for you then add another point to it.
